This is one of my favorite skirts and I posted a look wearing it a few months ago. It’s a super different piece! In addition to having a print that I love, floral, it has a beautiful shape, with volume and pockets just the way I like. And there’s more: it’s leather and the print appears in a 3D effect that is so incredible and unique.
So you can be sure that this piece will appear on look du jour many other times. I looked at the Farfetch website but I did not find the link for it, but the brand is House of Holland, if anyone out there also falls in love and wants to search!
This time I chose a white blouse from the Pop Up Store to wear with it. With a lightweight fabric, high neck and longer sleeves, this blouse is super delicate and romantic.
Accessories with the basic, mini white bag, glasses also white from ZeroUV and the final touch is the red shoes from Haute & Rebellious, another old piece that I love! How about this girly chic look?
On Saturday I went in POA and took the opportunity to take a look at the news at the Shoulder store, I posted a little bit on Instagram, did you see? My favorite pieces in the store were exactly those ones in a gorgeous pink tone. so chic.
I showed this look in the dressing room at the instagram stories and I loved this mix of print + lace. The pink color makes both pieces look great together. That’s an interesting and feminine combination. I also tried this blouse with a lace top and I found the idea of the overlay simply beautiful, soon i’ll try to post here in another look for you to see.
Oh, another interesting detail is that I actually wore the blouse with the back detail in the front. This neckline was on the back and the front was more closed with the round neck (you can see on Shoulder website!). But for that look I specifically liked to wear in a different way, I tried it and it worked! Have you thought about trying your clothes with simple changes like this and discovering new ways to wear it?
In the accessories I chose Pandora’s jewels and I used 2 necklaces and a leather bracelet as a choker to enhance the neckline. I also wore the lace up shoe from Esdra and the nude Amaro handbag.
My plans for Carnival in Brazil include some relaxing moments, but I can’t deny that the season is specially inspiring for outfits. For those who are afraid to dare, it is the ideal time to play with sparkles, vibrant colors, metallic pieces, etc. In my case the sequins are part of my casual looks, right?
But the date deserves a special look du jour and I needed to share with you the Pandora news to celebrate the Carnival: an exclusive collection for Brazil in limited edition. It is the first time that the country receives an exclusive collection and the theme could not be any other right?
So for this Carnival look du jour I chose an easy production to adapt with the daily pieces. I chose the floral theme and a lovely color combination in shades of red, pink and purple. The floral crown gives the look a Carnival feeling and is super easy to do at home.
I wore the floral skirt with a basic top in baby pink, so I could add a lot of accessories. I wore the Pandora leather bracelets as chockers in 3 different tones (loved!). I wore a necklace a little longer and took the opportunity to add another touch of color with the red stone pendant.
In the bracelets I mixed the classics with another leather piece, cause it looks more casual. I was inspired by the mix of colors of the skirt and the charm with the carnival mask, my favorite of the new collection. The little pops of color on leather bracelets and charms are a detail that makes all the difference. I love it!
We started 2017 with a few days of vacation and there’s nothing like spending time disconnected enjoying those great little moments of life right? The long summer days, blue skies, a gentle wind and the sound of the water are some of the details that we should stop and enjoy more!
I confess that I was missing to post here so I chose a very special look to start the new year that reflects a little bit of this summer holidays mood of the last days.
The inspiration comes from other decades, I think I’ve been reading a lot of books and watching many movies and series that portray other times (later I’ll share some of my inspirations with you!) and inevitably I felt like wearing some vintage inspired outfits, feminine prints like floral and the scarf tied around the neck (such a cute detail!).
Luckily I found some pieces of the new AMARO collection that fit perfectly into this mood. My great passion is the floral midi skirt, the print is simply beautiful, brings colorful bouquets of flowers hand-drawn in watercolor and has a freshness that matches with summer. Besides the pattern, the modeling is exactly as I like it, light fabric and full of movement, one of those that makes us dream that we are dancing and spinning just to see the beautiful drawing of the skirt.
To balance the volume of the skirt I chose a white top with a a V neckline that I completed with a scarf tied around the neck, a cute and romantic detail, everything from AMARO.
The hat from Chapéus25 you already know from other old looks and has been my great ally this summer, beautiful and very useful under all this sun.
Finally, I chose a very cute and colorful sandals filled with pompons also from AMARO that since the end of last year has launched a special line of shoes, good news, right? I’m not a big fan of sandals, but I surrendered to this one with pompoms and it has been my favorite in these very hot days, besides giving a fun touch to any look.
Ah, in the early years of the blog the looks du jour always took the name of some songs that I loved, anyone remember? So, music is still a great inspiration for my looks and today’s production has the mood of this version of Que reste-t-il de nos amours? from Charles Trenet played by Avalon Jazz Band, take a look at this inspiring song:
It’s not easy to dress well during summer hot days. As the temperature is gets high we only wish for dresses, tank tops and shorts. But here is today’s look du jour to prove that we can still look chic and elegant on summertime.
This gorgeous pants is jst perfect for the hotest season. I love the different floral print with sofisticated colours and details. Also the fabric is just so soft and fresh that gives a nice movement when you walk. And last but not least the shape is so comfy. That’s the kind of piece that make Shoulderone of my favourites brands ever.
I wore it with a white top also from Shoulderand one more time the focus is on the details: perfect fabric and lace up.
As I wanted to keep it casual and comfy I wore it with some caramel sandals from Esdra. Accessories also with wooden rounded sunglasses and fringed bag.
It’s spring and all I want to wear is some floral prints and a pop of colour. Just like today’s look du jour. I’m wearing my new floral midi skirt. I love the print, the fabric and the shape. I have been falling in love with that kind of midi skirt.
Of course I had to add my usual mix of prints. Wearing a striped top from Sly in black and white. That’s a easy way to mix different prints, black and white stripes fits almost everything.
Accessories with bicolor sunglasses from Asos and white shoes, neutral pieces. The pop of colour comes with the red bag from Schutz. I love that floral and colourfull look.
I guess everyone wake up sometimes feeling a little bit like Carrie Bradshaw, right? In my case this is quite common, I am in love with her looks and tulle skirts. So needless to say where comes the inspiration for today’s look.
The starting point for this outfit was the floral embroidered top from Zaful. It’s the kind of piece that makes my eyes shine. With beautiful embroidery, lots of flowers and colors and a see through fabric. I chose to use it in an overlay. Here comes another cool element: the textures mix. To enhance the look I opted for a leather top of Colcci, instead the basic cotton tshirt option.
The tulle skirt is just the best part of it! I tried the top with other skirt options in more discreet outfits, but if you can wear fashion in a funny way, why not? Some days I feel like wearing tulle skirt to go to the bakery!
Since the aim point was a fun and inspiring look I chose some great accessories. More is more! The red bag gives even more prominence to the embroidery. Finally, a black boot that gives rocker look and replaces the traditional scarpin or obvious high heels sandal.
Yesterday Ari posted about the best way to update your floral looks for spring, yes, it’s spring here in Brazil (here is the link!). Since I’m still not into the new trends I decided to wear floral in a way that is new to me, the midi skirt. I wrote before that it was only after cutting my hair that I started to like the midi lenght.
And although I prefer skirts with a lot of volume I tried this one from SlyWear and surrendered to this wonderful red floral. And that’s what I love the most about Sly, their beautiful prints that goes from the classic black and white stripes (and they’re really good on that point!) to the most varied floral. The best thing is that everything works well together, and you can mix prints and works perfectly.
So I chose the striped classic blouse to complete this look. There is no harmony between the colors of the prints, but it is precisely the very different sizes of patterns that makes it interesting. Also wore my red boater hat and lipstick in the same color to give more balance to the look. And the black and white also appears in the bag and shoes.
